Oneplus is one of the most innovative smartphone companies in China, and it all started with a phone from Oppo. Pete Lau founded the company back when he was VP at OPPO Communications Company Ltd., which later became OnePlus’ parent organization – BKK Electronics Group Co., Ltd…
The name “One” comes from their goal being to make 100 million phones by selling them at an affordable price point; while another goal included creating bleeding-edge technology without compromising quality or functionality for users who crave innovation as much they do value.

The OnePlus 8T is your typical glass-sandwich smartphone, and that’s perfectly fine. However, a design breakthrough seems doubtful anytime soon, let alone such a thing happening on an update mid-season!
The new phone does differ from its predecessor, though; it features the same flat display as before, which some fans may consider as a downgrade, while others will appreciate this change for what it offers in terms of aesthetics due to not having curves at all prominent places (like sides).

The OnePlus 8T packs what may seem to be the same display as its predecessor, a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen (1,080 x 2,400px) protected by Gorilla Glass 5 However, there is some significant difference between these two displays:
The on-paper look-alike has a 120Hz refresh rate and Full Vision Display, which makes it perfect for gaming or watching movies in upscaled 4K resolution without compression, but you can also enjoy content like Netflix HD quality videos with 1080p images if you wish so thanks to this high pixel density offered from using an OpticFilm patented screen technology solution tailored exclusively just for them called 360-degree viewing angles.

  • The main CameraCamera uses Sony IMX586 1/2.0″ sensor with a Quad-Bayer colour filter, 0.8µm pitch and f/1.7 26mm lens to create rich images in dark or brightly lit environments – which means it’s perfect for diverse settings like weddings!
  • The ultrawide shooter also packs 16MPs of resolution onto its scale though it sits at 13mm instead,d so you can capture more scenes at once without having any distortion on your photos thanks to those wide angles lenses (116 degrees vs 123).
  • It captures high quality 1080p video too; making sure that everyone has enough detail when capturing essential moments such as graduations or family vacations.”

  • The OnePlus 8T has a 4,500mAh battery – that’s 5% more than the previous model. However, what is most impressive about this improvement is how it charges: we’ll discuss that in detail next!
  • The phone was able to do well on our tests across all categories but one (standby).
  • It scored an excellent endurance rating of 104 hours compared to its predecessor, which had average performance numbers, among other things like video playback time or web browsing duration. Moreover, when put up against last year’s model, the new device clocked two additional hours of call time while only losing 1 hour through lighter use such as sending emails instead of contacting friends via Whatsapp.

  • The OnePlus 8T is powered by the same Snapdragon 865 chipset as its predecessors but offers two memory options: up to 128GB with LPDDR4X or a more capacious 256GB.
  • For storage, you can choose between UFS 3.1 on Oxygen Class 10 drives for smoother performance and faster response times in demanding apps (upgrade from UFS 2 offered only last year), which comes standard across both capacities without any additional cost.
  • This has been seen before when it came alongside other flagship killers like Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro.
  • The phone operates thanks beautifully not only to robust hardware underpinnings – speeds should be buttery smooth no matter what level of graphics complexity that might pose–but also how well OnePlus handled interface tweaks.

The OnePlus 8T is one we usually call an intelligent choice. In their next smartphone, but at an attractive price and with some flaws worth mentioning!

I mean, sure, waterproofing does sound pleasant (and) IP68-rated designs are reserved only for pro models right now? But let me assure you I wasn’t disappointed about how things turned out so far.

The One Plus 8T is a high-end smartphone that offers excellent value for money. Suppose you want to know about the one plus 8t. a device. Read our in-depth review of it here!
